A Different Style
I have been actively trying to expand my business in order to cater to a wider range of different audiences. All the artwork available in my online shop has always been non-exclusive, which is why I have carefully priced each item accordingly. Each hand-drawn piece is printed to order because I do not keep any stock on hand. However, if sales increase significantly one day, I would then be able to invest in purchasing inventory upfront, which would allow me to lower the overall cost and offer even better value to customers.
I recently looked into adding A4 options to my site, but I couldn’t get the price low enough to justify the cost I would have to charge my customers. Including postage, it worked out to be, in my opinion, unreasonable. Therefore, the select few A4 prints I sell at my car shows will remain exclusive to those events, where the choice is limited, and once they’re sold, they’re sold for that year.
As the title suggests, I have developed a new style and choice of artwork that I am looking to progress alongside my usual art. So far, I have created one piece, which has a limited run of 10, all of which are signed and numbered. Using pointillism as the style, I have hand-drawn over a thousand dots to create the image of a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. I have incorporated my signature Polaroid style to separate the artwork from the title at the bottom of the piece.
To offer even more options, I am also providing framing, which, of course, incurs additional costs for both the frame and postage—these are factored into the price. Orders over £100 qualify for free shipping. I know this is a lot more money, but in keeping with the limited number being sold, I had to price it accordingly.
