2026 Event Update
So this is a fairly short blog.
Recently I have had a Relapse of my Multiple Sclerosis, which unfortunately has meant that progression has occurred and I am now left with new, persistent symptoms in my arms and hands that I will need to learn to live with for the rest of my life. On top of this, my overall strength and energy has deteriorated to the point where I am going to have to make some big adjustments this year to my event calendar and commitments.
So, after a lot of thought, I’ve decided I am not going to be able to do most of my shows this year as a Trader. Instead, I’ll attend the events in Ellie, Trixie or the ST to keep Drawn By Matt visible that way. I’ll have some artwork on display with my cars, but it will mostly be a case of people ordering from my online shop . I’m hoping this small break will give me time to plan how to proceed in future years as my body continues to fight itself.
Even in hospital I was repping my brand, trying to flog it with my Eleanor Tee.
I’ve also got a new set of wheels. Don’t laugh at me when you see me, please—haha. I know it looks like something an older person would use, but it’s really practical: it has a comfortable seat for when I need a rest and gives me extra stability. It even has off‑road wheels for fields at shows. Right now I’m okay for short distances without it, but I don’t have enough strength to use my regular wheelchair anymore and I can’t afford an electric one, so this is the next best solution for getting around.
Thank you for your continued support. It really means the world to me.
